Molding
Our molding department accommodates high volume requirements using
vertical rotary presses. Cycle times are generally faster compared
with traditional injection molding cycle times, because each press
has one top and several bottoms. This permits a mold to be injected
while other bottoms are being loaded with inserts, and completed
components are being removed from others. As a result, cycle times
range from 15 seconds to one minute, from loading through molding
and packaging.
Insert loading and part removal may be accomplished either manually
or robotically. Robotics can be a cost-saving addition to a component
program when annual volume exceeds 1 million molding cycles. The
skill and experience of our Automation Group in programming robotics
for insert molding is unsurpassed.
