will evaluate materials, construct experimental tooling, and use
Design of Experiments (DOE) methods to verify design theory conclusions.
Development
We offer design assistance and a custom-designed quotation system,
using Activity Based Costing, that helps produce accurate prices
for specific designs and as well as identify the best configuration.
It can provide quotations for various combinations of material,
processes, and tooling, and helps direct product design development
towards changes that will have the greatest impact on total cost.
Prototypes
Microplastics builds prototypes as part of a total program, not
as an end in itself. To ensure that our prototypes accurately reflect
the final production process, we construct prototype mold details
of pre-hardened or hardened tool steel, the same material used in
production molds.
Project Support
A Microplastics Project Manager leads your entire production project
from beginning to end using computer-networked checklists. Representatives
from sales, engineering, quality assurance, materials purchasing,
and manufacturing form a team that will work with you throughout
your project.
Quality Assurance
As an ISO 9001-2008 and TS 16949-2009 certified supplier, we prevent potential
problems by using such tools as Advanced Quality Planning (AQP),
Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Process Design
Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). We operate at or near zero
ppm defects.
